Iwo Jima Memorial

During WWII, the US troops were at Iwo Jima, Japan.  Leader for US asked his men to raise a flag on the highest mountain to inspire troops to keep fighting.  A man took a picture of the troops raising the flag.  This statue is modeled after the picture.  Can you find the name of the man who took the picture that this statue was modeled  after?  The statue is made of Bronze and the flag flies 24 hours a day.

  1. Hey Mrs.Plummer. I went to a museum gift shop and they had this statue made out of legos. My brother has a pic. By the way, Tom's doing great. He's attended a million college activities.
