Jefferson Memorial
Thomas Jefferson was our third President. He was created with writing the Declaration of Independence. His statue is also made of bronze and looks towards the White House. On the opposite side of the water stands the new MLK memorial. He was the Founder of UVA and this memorial has a dome like the one found on his home and at the University. He brought us Mac and Cheese and Ice Cream after being an ambassador to France. The Columns are like those from Greek and Roman architecture. The sun was starting to set and the Cherry blossoms were beautiful. However the evening bugs were gross here!

DeleteThe statue is exposed to the air and light it is not fully enclosed. Remember the Statue of Liberty is made of the same material and she had turned a greenish blue. He has not changed that much but slightly.
